What We Pass Down
Some of the most meaningful things passed through a family cannot be wrapped in paper or placed in a box. They are the lessons, words of encouragement, traditions and faith that helped earlier generations through difficult times.
Faith in Ordinary Moments
Maybe you remember a grandparent praying before a meal, a parent reminding you to trust God or someone opening a well-used Bible during a difficult season. Faith is not only for Sunday. It is something we carry into everyday life.
Every Generation Needs Hope
The world changes, families change and responsibilities change. Yet every generation experiences uncertainty, loss and the need for hope. Psalm 100:5 (KJV) reminds us: “For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
Keep the Conversation Going
You do not have to share a home to share faith. Call someone and ask how you can pray for them. Share a favorite Scripture. Tell a child about someone whose faith made an impression on you. Thank God for the people who helped shape your life.
A Prayer for Our Families
Heavenly Father, thank You for the generations who came before us and for the love, wisdom and faith they shared. Help us honor the good they taught us. Give us patience with one another, encourage our children, care for our older family members and stay connected even when we live in different homes. May our family be a source of love, kindness and faith for generations to come. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
